As a foundational member of the team, you will be responsible for building our business and advancing our executive search efforts. As part of that work, you will be charged with identifying profiles of talented leaders for our clients, outreaching to prospects, explaining our client value propositions, evaluating candidates and managing them through the lifecycle with our clients. You will drive process, create material, build meaningful relationships, and learn a lot about the healthcare ecosystem. Outside of your “day job” you will help build this business. That means, you will collaborate on special projects such as, building out our database, building processes, managing our website, and establishing networking events.
The core of your job will be focused on advancing our partnerships with clients by building pipelines of talented executives.
You can expect that you will spend your time doing the following:
• Market research to understand the healthcare ecosystem and landscape; you will become incredibly sophisticated about existing companies, emerging companies and companies that have exited to identify where relevant experience exists for our clients
• Outreach and networking; as part of your job, you will be focused on identifying potential target candidates, proactively reaching out to them, developing relationships and either recruiting them to roles or building relationships with them to generate a referral stream of candidates our portfolio companies
• Develop expertise in effective screening and interviewing candidates; assess candidates against the defined qualifications for roles
• Create requisite materials for searches; this means, taking client feedback to develop job descriptions, develop competencies to evaluative against, create company profiles, develop search updates, build reference templates, and create other relevant collateral
• Pitch candidates to C-Suite leaders; this means leveraging the insights gleaned from your interviews to translate their skills into recommendations for the positions you are recruiting for
• Project management and reporting; develop an organized framework to ensure activity is on track and all project related deliverables are tracking appropriately
• Ad hoc special projects; starting a company means there’s a lot of work that isn’t squarely in someone’s job description. You can expect that you will help with internal hiring, onboarding new teammates, designing internal process, and other unforeseen tasks.
A bit about you:
• You have a bachelor’s degree from a top college or university. We don’t care what you studied as long as you are open to learning more
• You have 3-5 years of work experience, ideally in a sales, account management, recruiting type of role
• Ability to self-start; you can expect a ton of mentorship and career development, but we are looking for you to have initiative and to be excited about stepping into the gray area to take ownership
• Intellectual curiosity; so much of what we do requires an iterative learning style.
• Confidence and strong written and verbal communication skills; you’ll be working with executives and clear, deliberate communication skills are critical
• Desire to learn & appetite to improve; we don’t expect that you have experience in this work, but expect you will be passionate about learning, improving, and getting smarter about the industry
