Maura McGinn, Founder

Maura has over a decade of experience in building and advising innovative high-growth healthcare companies. Her human capital breadth spans operations, executive search and private equity.

Maura’s operational experience includes her work at Bright Health and Belong Health. At Bright Health, she was the Chief People Officer and led all critical People and Talent functions that enabled Bright to scale from 3 to 1500 employees and established requisite controls and capabilities to IPO. She also served as SVP, People & SVP, Partnerships at Belong Health where her work included laying foundational HR operations and recruitment infrastructure as well as identifying and advancing partnerships. Maura also advised Towerbrook Capital Partners on Talent activities where her focus was executive recruitment and long-term human capital strategies. Maura was a foundational member of the Oxeon Partners team where she led search activities for key clients and investments like Landmark Health and Evolent Health.

When she’s not working (ok, she’s working a lot), Maura enjoys golfing, traveling, wine tasting and walking along the piers of Brooklyn with her fur-child, Puella.

Maura earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Davidson College.

Caitlin Attinger, Partner

Caitlin is a talent expert who enjoys partnering with high growth Venture and Private Equity backed healthcare organizations to help grow their teams and develop talent. She has 12+ years of experience in Executive recruiting, human capital strategy, and client management.

Caitlin brings a blend of search consultancy and operational experience, having served as both an executive search Partner at True Search and a Chief People Officer at Workit Health. While at Workit Health, Caitlin was instrumental in hiring the executive team, maturing the people function, and scaling the organization from 200 to 450 employees. Prior, Caitlin was a Partner at True Search, where she played a significant role in the establishment and growth of the Healthcare Practice from inception. She led searches across all functional areas in healthcare services, digital health, and SaaS organizations.

Outside of the office, Caitlin runs a non-profit called Costumes for Courage, which provides costumes to children undergoing treatment for serious medical conditions. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her two dogs. Her favorite activities include watching her nephew perform in musicals and cheering on her niece during her cheerleading competitions.

Caitlin earned her MBA from Florida Atlantic University and a BS from Florida State University.

Sophia Ackerman, Associate

Sophia joined Impetus Talent in August of 2023 as an Associate.  She’s played a critical role in developing a network and driving search activities in Financial, Human Capital, and Revenue-generating roles. She is inspired by the Impetus Talent clients who are delivering care to underserved and vulnerable populations. She is a critical contributor to the team, and on a daily basis, delivers equal parts highly qualified candidates and hilarious office banter.

Before joining Impetus, Sophia dedicated herself to the mission of Teach for America, serving as a fourth-grade educator in San Antonio, Texas. Sophia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College and was a member of the Division I Women’s Track and Field Team.

When she’s not working, Sophia can be found exploring Hudson River Park with friends, running around NYC, and checking out the dive bar scene in the East Village.
